Dear Students,
The NALANDA focuses on Science and Technology Educational and runs Bachelor of programs in Electronics and communication, computer Science, Information Technology and Electrical and Electronics Engineering approved by UGC. The NALANDA has set up an advanced computer laboratory in the faculty of Information Technology. The emphasis of the courses now lies in evolving the skills and craftsmanship needed to meet the higher degree of knowledge and excellence required in the professional world Over the years our efforts have been towards creating good infrastructure, providing newer facilities for the students and upgrading our programs and faculty to strengthen the college. The NALANDA also aims at becoming a multi-disciplined, teacher-learner oriented institute in close association with the Industry, following relevant Research & Development programs to prepare students for a successful start to their professional career. The global economic scenarios, the rapid rate of technological advancement, the information revolution, all have initiated new series of challenges as well as opportunities. Today, change is so rapid that the educational system has to keep itself abreast with the latest development. The ability to innovate and the capacity to acclimatize to latest technologies is the forte of the new century. The educational institute thus have to take the responsibility of developing and nurturing their students. It is possible for each and every one of us to make a difference, for transformation begins with each individual’s effort and vision.
Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the Nalanda College is a part of the University’s system and works towards the realisation of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the Nalanda is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of Nalanda & needs to channelize its efforts and measures towards promoting the holistic academic excellence. The work of the Nalanda is the first step towards implementation of quality enhancement initiatives. College has the potential to act as a vehicle for ushering in quality enhancement by working out planned interventionist strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality culture in the College. College-Vision To ensure Education for all Students with our franchisee culture as the prime concern by monitoring & implementation of all the initiatives taken with internal and external support. College-Objective The Primary Aim & Objective of Nalanda is: - To develop a system for conscious with franchise all over India consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the University. To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices. Nalanda-Strategies Nalanda shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks; Relevant and quality academic/ research programmes; Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society; Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning; The credibility of assessment and evaluation process; Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services; Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India and abroad Functions Some of the functions expected of the College are: Development and application of quality benchmarks Parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process Collection and analysis of feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes; Dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders; Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report as per guidelines and parameters of Benefits College will facilitate / contribute to Ensure clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement Ensure internalization of the quality culture Ensure enhancement and coordination among various activities of the institution and institutionalize all good practices Provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning Act as a dynamic system for quality changes in the university Build an organised methodology of documentation and internal communication Features of the College The College ensures that whatever is done in the College for “Education” is done efficiently and effectively with high standards.
