WELCOME TO Nalanda College "O & A" Level

NEILIT DOEACC ‘O’ Level course is a foundation Course of DOEACC Society in the field of Information Technology. The duration of the course is 1 year (2 semesters of 6 months each). The next IT course of DOEACC Society is DOEACC ‘A’ Level which is equivalent to advance diploma course in Computer Application. The course starts in the month of January and July every year. Admission notice is published in the local daily newspaper. Candidates can acquire a NIELIT(DOEACC) ‘O’ Level certification by simply undergoing the course, examination. Working professional can also appear in this examination by Nalanda College, provided they possess the requisite educational qualification. DOEACC ‘A’ Level Course is the second level of DOEACC IT Professional Course. It comes after ‘O’ Level . It is equivalent to advance diploma course in Computer Application as recognized by Govt. of India for job purposes.

PROJECT WORK:

Project in the DOEACC Scheme are an integral part of the curriculum to quality of a certificate. There is one project after the completion of 2nd semester. No marks are assigned for this, but candidates are required to carry out the project successfully. The Nalanda head of the Institute will submit a project completion certificate in the prescribed format for issuing pass certificate to DOEACC Society for the students who have cleared all the papers and complete the project work. NIELIT (DOEACC) O’ Level certification also involves project work as an important component of the certification. The Project is carried out by candidates under the guidance and support of faculty and management of the Nalanda Institute. ‘A’ Level student can submit the project only after clearing 5 papers of the ‘A’ Level course. ’A’ Level project would be approximately 350 man-hours and carries a total of 100 marks (80% for the project evaluation and 20% for the viva-voice ).

THEORY EXAMINATION:


DOEACC “O” Level theory examination is conducted twice in a year (in the month of January and July) by DOEACC SOCIETY, New Delhi. There is a number of examination centers will be available while collecting exam form. Students can choose one of the exam center according to their convenience. Full mark of each paper is 100 and exam duration is 3 hours.


PRACTICAL EXAMINATION:


The is one practical paper for NIELIT DOEACC “O” Level Course. Appeared or appearing all the theory paper is the necessary condition for the practical examination. Practical Examination is conducted at the Institute under the supervision of DOEACC Society. Candidates pursing the NIELIT (DOEACC) ‘O’ Level certification have to devote half of the total time allotted to each module of the course for the practical session.


RESULT OF EXAMINATION:


Result of DOEACC ‘O’ Level examination is published in the DOEACC website normally after two months of completion of the exam. Students can check their result from this website and download. Students can also ask for result of the examination to the Nalanda College. Results will be sent to the candidates from DOEACC Society individually. The result will be provided in the form of Grade. The mark scored in practical paper is not counted for calculating overall grade of the exam but, clearing practical paper is necessary criteria for awarding the certificate.
